It seems that humans have a status quo bias, which is a psychological tendency to avoid change and the unknown and prefer to maintain the status quo, recognizing any change from the status quo to something new as a loss of stability and sticking to the current situation.

It’s true that if you’re told that such psychology works
There it is, there it is, there it is! But thankfully, there have been so many events that I have had to change my current situation in order to survive.

There are advantages and disadvantages to change.
I feel that the above status quo bias, which is the inability to make rational judgments, is very important for those of us who are playing the game of life where we have to decide which way to go through many parting paths.

The fateful encounter for me was

When I was in high school, I was found next to a friend who smoked, and the friend who smoked was suspended for a week, and the teacher who suspended me indefinitely for over a month for not smoking when I complained that I didn’t really smoke, saying, “Check my lungs, I really don’t smoke. The teacher who made me sing Billy Joel’s “Onesti” for a year, even though I hadn’t paid my monthly fee for a year and was behind on my payment since the second month as a rebellion. I think it’s the acquaintances who have betrayed me in a big way, like in a mystery novel, and all the people who have created an environment where I had to make a decision to go in a different direction from the current one.

The more times you change, the less resistance you have to change and the more resistance you have to the unknown.
I was able to acquire the technique of running to the opposite side of everything as a result of repetition.

It would be perfect if I could make a rational decision based on the advantages and disadvantages, but I can’t wait until the conditions are right, so I’m hoping you’ll go over my dead body.

Life is a tragedy when you look at it from up close, but a comedy when you look at it from afar.

So let’s enjoy each other’s misjudgments at times!
